Abandoned
Hope escaped through an open door,
Patience left way before,
Despair now fills the air I breathe,
Pain stuck, in my throat,
Guilt sleeps beneath my bed,
Its arm reach out and pull me down,
The mirror reflect; hopelessness,
& darkness floods the room I’m in,
Depression sits at the end of my bed,
Before seeping into my flesh,
Its reflection lives on my bedroom wall,
Its huge and takes over my entire soul,
I sit and weep an ocean or two,
My sobs remain silent but inside they brew,
The cries start to spill out,
As I sit there wanting to scream and shout,
Happiness abandoned me and left
Leaving me with nothing but loneliness…
